I am pleased to introduce my second edition catalog for Scott Thomas Custom Saddles.  Today, I am as excited with my custom line of saddles and tack, as I was a couple of years ago.

I have been involved in the saddle industry for over 40 years, and I have been manufacturing saddles for 25 plus years.  I started working with saddles at an early age with my father and mother managing a major saddle manufacturing company and western retail store.  They taught me a tremendous amount about this industry as well as running a business.  I also grew up on a cattle ranch and competed in rodeos as a calf roper and team roper.  I am a World Champion in National Little Britches Rodeo and went on to rodeo in High School, College, and the PRCA.  After graduating from Colorado State University, I worked for Dale Martin and learned the art of building performance saddles.  I have worked with major saddle companies, world champions, horse clinicians, endorsees, saddle makers and saddle experts to gain the knowledge that we use today in my line of saddles.  I am excited to have the opportunity to build high quality, hand crafted saddles at a competitive price for you.

All of Scott Thomas Custom Saddles are built using the finest materials.  I use Hermann Oak Leather tanned in the USA, stainless steel hardware, and saddle trees that I have developed over the years, which I feel offer the best fit and function.  My saddle trees come with a 10 year warranty.  I also offer some upgraded saddle trees with a lifetime warranty.  All of my saddle trees have been tested, ridden and modified to ensure that my fit is the best available.  My saddles are handmade, hand cut, hand tooled, and hand finished to produce a true custom handmade saddle.  You can order a saddle model that is in my catalog exactly how I have designed it or you can take that saddle model and customize it to come up with your own unique look.  We have several pages dedicated to illustrating the 10-step process to customize your saddle with various options.

Together with my wife Amie, we have been working for the last 16 years making our dream come true, owning and operating our own saddle business.  With the help of our two daughters, Gracie Sue and Charlye Elise, we are proud of our family owned business and excited for the future.
